REPO! IS NOW BOOKED IN THEATRES THROUGH THE END OF THE YEAR!

REPO! The Genetic Opera’s theatrical presence at late-night screenings all across the U.S. keeps on a-growing!  We’re now booked at theatres through the end of ’09! So come see firsthand what the REPO! phenomenon’s all about; here’s a list of theatres and showtimes, and an excerpt from REPO!’s latest press release, “REPO! THE GENETIC OPERA: CULT CLASSIC IN THE MAKING”:

“…Long after the film’s initial run, and months after the DVD hit stores the frenzy grew. Emails from rabid REPO! Fans flooded message boards demanding REPO! in their hometown theatres. This gave birth to the three highly successful REPO! Road Tours, which brought the film’s creators and cast members coast to coast to meet fans.  Much like REPO!’s predecessors of cult lore, REPO! The Genetic Opera has become a part of Midnight movie madness nationwide, the list of theatres in cities across America continues to grow, from South Hadley, Massachusetts to Phoenix Arizona, and Fort Lauderdale, Florida to Portland, Oregon.  Groups gather late night to perform as shadowcasts against the film, donning custom movie garb and swinging neon blue glow sticks (Zydrate) during the special late-night weekend features.

    I’d like to add that in addition to the shows in Boston and Salem, Massachusetts there will also be showings in Foxboro, Massachusetts at the Orpheum Theatre on the following dates:

    5/22 @9pm
    7/24 @9pm
    9/25 @9pm
    11/27 @9pm

    All shows WILL have the RKO Army shadowcasting the film! We had our first show on April 11th, and it was fantastic. We’re really looking forward to performing the film again and again for all of you scalpel sluts out there! Swing on by our website and get some more information!

    Or it might be the chocolate covered coffee beans being scoffed: rather buzzy- like cocaine in *effect*, but a whole lot more healthy for you.
    Also much, much cheaper, and a whole lot less risky. These babies you can share with your local Plod with clear conscience and no fear of having him whisk you into clink *tout de suite*.

    It’s still annoying, though; I’m betting a lot of smaller cinemas across the UK; places more likely to show ‘Repo’ to a rather more discerning audience base, don’t know of its existence at all.

    What could be done to improve this situation, and could I help?

    I just watched the movie for the first time tonight. I have a long standing pattern of mishearing lyrics. I was hoping the grave robber would rise as a new subversive repo-man (when no one is around HE might rescue you). Ah well.

    *le sigh* Once again sadly Alabama is the suckiest state in all of the country I feel. I can try to go to the one at Cinema Paradiso, and that would be the first shadowcast I’ve ever experienced. Sadly my life doesn’t rock as much as all of the other amazing Repo fans out there. I have no source of income right now :( but if I do make it to FL I will be very very happy!! :D I will re-post this on my myspace when I get a chance!
